This shallow serving dish is hand-painted in the region's signature palette of cobalt blue, ochre yellow, sage green, and coral orange, with a lush composition of blossoms radiating from a fluted white center. The scalloped border is intricately pierced in an openwork lattice, a hallmark of the finest Desvres reticulated ware, requiring exceptional skill at the greenware stage to preserve structural integrity through firing. The reverse bears a cobalt monogram mark associated with the Fourmaintraux family ateliers, longstanding custodians of the Desvres faience tradition.
